Dr. von Plitt earned his doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He is also a certified practitioner of Applied Kinesiology (AK) and has additional training in Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET). Additionally, he has worked closely with and received training from an internationally recognized Naturopathic and Functional Medicine practitioner with a focus on functional gastrointestinal care.
He has also been trained and certified in micro-needling (aka collagen induction therapy). Prior to attending naturopathic medical school, Dr. von Plitt earned his bachelors of science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California San Diego.
Dr. von Plitt’s primary joy in life is spending time with his lovely wife, who is also a Naturopathic Doctor. Whether helping her create delicious meals in the kitchen, discussing Naturopathic or Chinese medicine, or watching episodes of The Crown with her, he finds endless happiness in his time spent with his life partner.
Aside from his family life, Dr. von Plitt is a dedicated Tai Chi enthusiast who holds 4th Duan rank and an advanced level coaching certificate in the traditional Chinese martial arts. Both the rank and the certification were earned while he was training in China. He has combined his love of Tai Chi, his passion for teaching, and his enjoyment of video content creation to create his YouTube channel where he posts Tai Chi and Qigong instruction videos.
